While that increased demand is keeping chicken farmers busy, it is also raising some real concerns for chicken processors who need to hire and train more workers to cut, debone and package poultry products, tasks that have not been easily automated in the past. And in recent years, recruiting those workers has not been easy. But now, automated technology is allowing companies to drive efficiency, reduce waste and automate more tasks in the poultry processing line than ever before. A new wave of automation technologies is bringing the poultry processing industry into the future. Fresh meat and eggs on the shelf come with a digital price tag that changes as required, but also allows shoppers to scan the item, see its origins, details of where it was grown and how it was produced. Customers can pay with the swipe of a phone, or through facial recognition.Keeping track of food items like number of eggs processed and baked goods is by no means an easy task. That's where blockchain technology may begin to make a difference in the coming years. It creates a shared database and a digital `ledger' of all transactions made while making traceability simple in the supply chain process. The poultry companies are inclined largely toward food technology and product development as they are in meat production. Also, consumers have become better informed on a variety of issues, including food safety and quality, animal welfare and environmental protection, and their expectations have risen accordingly. These developments have made considerable demands on the industry, which needs to have a sound knowledge-base on all aspects of its activities, underpinned by appropriate research. In this edition of Food and Beverages Tech Review, we bring to you some of the leading companies that have excelled through innovation in delivering the highest quality of poultry and meat processing solutions. We hope this edition will provide you with the right assistance in choosing the solution provider that best fits your organization.Let us know your thoughts!Food & Beverage Technology Review Visit www.fbtechreview.comCopyright © 2020 ValleyMedia, Inc.
