Food served at the right temperature is considered a high-quality meal. However, temperature control goes beyond preparing dishes and encompasses the storage and transportation of food products. Most temperature monitoring equipment have limited notification capabilities that drive F&B businesses to deploy manual resources to ensure products are stored and transported at appropriate temperatures. Combine this with strict food safety standards and stringent health inspections, and F&B firms are left fighting an uphill battle to maintain end-to-end compliance.

JRI addresses this issue through its high-quality performance in monitoring temperature, humidity, energy, water, gas consumption, and more. It delivers measuring, controlling, and monitoring technology for businesses in the healthcare, food safety, HVAC, and energy industries. JRI’s solution boosts the automation and responsiveness of clients’ preventative maintenance operations while complying with hazard analysis, critical control point (HACCP) procedures, and other regulations.

“Before providing our solutions, we thoroughly understand a business’s need for automation, replacing existing solutions and optimizing installed systems to accurately offer the best-suited implementation,” says Natalie DE SAEGER, international business director of JRI.

A pioneer of hardware and software solutions for food service management, JRI precisely answers client needs by designing flexible and adaptable hardware devices capable of keeping up with the fast-growing market. Leveraging its temperature, measurement, and metrology know-how, JRI produces precise, reliable, and compliant wireless measuring devices, data loggers, and sensors that accurately monitor storage conditions. Its temperature monitoring solutions integrate with current and proven IoT technologies like LoRaWAN, a leading low-power wide-area network (LPWAN), Bluetooth 2.4 GHz, and an intuitive cloud-based application, JRI-MySirius, which drive effective and customizable data management.

JRI’s sensors measure reliable temperature data, while the JRI-MySirius gives all the necessary information in one place and provides many features to customize system management.

In addition, it offers the MySiriusAlert mobile application to warn users of temperature incidents during storage and transit, making it easy to monitor measurements and handle alerts with responsiveness. Simultaneously, its MyFoodCheck mobile application sends automated and reliable digital reports and information for health inspections. JRI’s solutions can be accessed via any smartphone, tablet, PC, or device to easily and quickly manage data and perform metrology services on dedicated applications synchronized on the JRI-MySirius platform. Above all, its solutions replace the need for hiring personnel to monitor temperatures and conduct regular checks during cooking, baking, cooling, storing, and delivering food.

Established over 175 years ago, JRI is a professional in temperature measurement that designed the first wireless temperature monitoring system for the healthcare market. JRI later became the pioneer for a cloud-based monitoring solution. It introduced SiriusWeb as an online system to track temperature, humidity, and energy consumption in real-time, aiming to expand into the F&B space.

In this endeavor, JRI partnered with a North American chain of 6500 convenience stores and petrol stations and created a footprint to work closely with local partners and other reference customers. Internationally, JRI has established a proven track record through a vast distributor network, numerous sites in France, an experienced export team located in Paris, Chicago, Kuala Lumpur, and Shanghai, and a qualified technical sales network.

From a technical perspective, its in-house R&D department and engineers manufacture products compliant with stringent quality standards, consistently meeting various data surveillance and security requirements. Ensuring complete authenticity across JRI’s offerings is its Healthcare Division, which continually works to maintain the effectiveness of its consulting, engineering, qualification, and metrology services and temperature monitoring and warning solutions.

Highlighting JRI’s impact is a success story where it assisted an international fast food company in managing storage and transportation temperatures across their chain of restaurants, first in France and now developing in Europe and further globally. In this instance, the fast food giant was looking to replace the manual writing of temperature readings every four to five hours. For this project, JRI installed a user-friendly, web-based temperature monitoring system in their kitchens, implementing an automated solution that enables timely temperature recordings and real-time alerts, and boosts data management across multiple units.

JRI meets the regulations for radio transmission equipment to effectively serve restaurants across the globe. Moving forward, it plans to partner with more businesses and develop automated and compliant temperature measurement, monitoring, and traceability solutions for its growing customer base.
