FREMONT, CA: Foodvine, a new social food-ordering platform that fosters unique culinary experiences and makes them available to a worldwide audience, will debut its app in November 2021. Foodvine reimagines food-centric apps from a cultural standpoint, allowing anybody to experience the flavors of world-class cities, exotic locales, and everything in between while breaking down boundaries for food lovers, chefs, and food-sellers around the world.
Foodvine innovates true culinary adventures in the kitchen or at the table by bringing real people together to share authentic meals and cuisines from their childhood, culture, and beyond. Through profiles, newsfeeds, and other features suited to tastes, hobbies, and location, Foodvine users can explore meals and recipes, participate in live cooking classes, acquire new skills, and get advice from chefs and home cooks. Using the app, users may also order ingredients, meals, and fresh and packaged foods from home chefs, farmers, food trucks, and other specialty food vendors of different cultures.
Jordan, who was born in Zambia and now lives in Dallas, was inspired to create Foodvine as a vehicle to encourage exploration of the cultural food landscape without the need for travel, as well as to unlock the talents of millions of people who lack the financial means to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant. While serving as an operating specialist in the United States Navy, he discovered his interest in world cuisines, prompting him to establish Foodvine.
