Loacker has achieved Non-GMO Project verification.
FREMONT, CA: "We are thrilled to announce our Non-GMO Project verification status. Our consumers know the high quality of Loacker ingredients and we're happy to provide them with non-gmo options, as per their request." states Jenny Fernandez, VP of Marketing Loacker USA. Loacker, a global confections company, has been certified as Non-GMO Project verified. As part of the company's long-term commitment to utilizing only the best possible ingredients and eliminating artificial flavorings, added colors, and preservatives, this essential move allows for even more brand transparency. Core Quadratini and Classic Loacker tastes are among the first to get this certification. Ingredients used in all Loacker products are traceable to their source. Alpine milk produced by Dolomites Milk is free of any genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Loacker's hazelnuts, a key ingredient in many of the company's products, are roasted in-house and 100 percent Italian. In addition to cocoa and vanilla, the company works with a small group of sustainable farmers.
According to a recent Consumer Reports National Research Center survey, more than 70 percent of Americans say they do not want genetically modified organisms in their food. Americans have expressed their desire for delicious, bite-sized, and healthy snacks in recent surveys performed by Loacker. Asked to select various categories, 46 percent of respondents said they wanted to indulge in dark chocolate, crème biscuits, and other savory nibbles. Another 42 percent of participants stated that bite-sized sweets were their favorite. When possible, only 31 percent of participants sought healthier snacks (i.e., no artificial flavors or colors, preservatives, non-GMO, etc.).
All three of these top goals for American snacking are met by Quadratini, which shows that Americans can still choose high-quality products and healthy snacks while indulging in a treat of their choice. Loacker Quadratini and Classic On the Go (45 grams) are the answer for those looking for a better-for-you snack. Over 80 percent of conventionally processed foods include GMOs, and the verification provides a complete picture of their presence.
All Loacker ingredients are traceable and of the highest quality, thanks to long-term cooperation with farmers who receive fair wages and a decent standard of living. Through these collaborations, the cocoa and vanilla producers of Madagascar, Ecuador, and the Ivory Coast can better support their families and the local communities in which they live.
An independent third-party verification program for non-GMO food and products is the
